What paperwork will I need to complete?

There are four main pieces of paperwork that must be completed.

  • Firstly, you will need to complete a Volunteer Registration Form for the St Vincent de Paul Society.  This provides the VoRTCS Committee with your details for our database, and will also ensure that you are covered by insurance when tutoring with VoRTCS.  You will need to bring along some photo ID and proof of address (eg current drivers licence) to complete this form.  This form must be completed at one of our information or training sessions – we are not able to forward this form to you.

  • A Tutor Preferences form must also be completed, which enables you to provide preferences on where you would like to tutor, who you would like to tutor with, and whether you would prefer to work with children or adults.

  • If you do not already hold a current Blue Card, a Blue Card application form must be completed at an information or training session.  See Suitability and Blue Cards below for more information.

  • Finally, at our compulsory training session you will be provided with a volunteer agreement to complete.  Again, we are not able to forward this form to you – you will need to attend the compulsory training session and complete the form then.

You should make sure that you bring sufficient ID along to the information and training evenings to complete this paperwork.  For more information on what ID is required for a Blue Card application, see the section on Suitability and Blue Cards below.
