We hold information nights every 8 weeks for new tutors. Visit the Upcoming Events page for the next information session.
In 2008, Refugee Week will be held from Sunday, June 15 to Sunday, June 22, to coincide with World Refugee Day on Friday 20 June 2008.
The Refugee Council of Australia is working with organisations all over Australia, such as VoRTCS, to promote Refugee Week 2008.
The theme for Refugee Week 2008 is “A Place to Call Home”. By focusing upon the fundamental human right for a secure place to call home, the 2008 theme calls upon all Australians to reflect upon our common obligations to persons who have no secure home, as well as acknowledging and celebrating the over 700,000 refugees and humanitarian migrants who have come to call Australia home over the past 60 years.
So join with us to stop, reflect, and celebrate the indomitable spirit of Australia’s refugee communities and the wonderful contribution that they make to our shared homeland.
