What if our family need food, clothes or furniture?
The St Vincent de Paul Society is usually able to assist families who need food, clothes or furniture.  The Support Centre at Buranda is the best place to call for assistance, and is able to assist families in the Brisbane area (excluding Logan and Ipswich).  If your family lives outside this area, please contact your VoRTCS team for the contact details of the relevant Support Centre.

The Support Centres can provide emergency assistance if this is needed, and can generally provide in-home assistance to families.

The Support Centres will need basic information about the family, as well as information regarding their income and expenditure and any Centrelink benefits to ensure that they are eligible for support.  For this reason, it is usually easier if the family contact the Support Centre directly.  The contact number is (07) 3217 3244, and the office is at 44 Taylor St, Buranda.

If you would like to contact the Support Centre on behalf of your family, you can either use the number listed above or contact your VoRTCS team to request the phone number that organisations can use to request assistance for their clients.
